OPINION - Plan B: The good news? Global markets are learning to live with Covid

It’s beginning to look a lot like (last) Christmas. Not driving home for Christmas (because I’m already WFH). Walking (by myself) in a winter wonderland. You get the picture. The Government is understandably desperate to avoid the depressing headlines and real economic damage that another lockdown Christmas would bring — even lockdown-lite. Yesterday’s announcements are an attempt to keep hope alive by acting early. It seems unlikely that it will be enough.
